Honeyberries and haskap berries and come from a deciduous honeysuckle shrub (Lonicera caerulea), which has an upright, rounded form. These shrubs are highly cold tolerant and easy to grow in cool climates. In early spring, they produce small yellow blooms that mature to dark blue fruits. The irregularly shaped berries pack more antioxidants than blueberries and have a unique tangy and sweet flavor. They can be eaten raw or used in baking and desserts. Note: plant at least two Yezberry varieties or Sugar Mountain® varieties together to ensure cross-pollination and fruit production.
