The compact size of the Perfecto Mundo Epic Pink Carpet Azalea makes this plant a perfect addition to the front of a bed or border where the beautiful blooms will be on full display. The light pink flowers feature gently ruffled petals with hot pink specks near the center and are contrasted against the glossy green foliage. This showstopper blooms once in the spring and a second time in the late summer or early fall, allowing you to marvel at the striking flowers twice during the growing season. This showy perennial is very easy to grow and maintain, so you can enjoy the beautiful blooms without putting in much work.
Azaleas are known for gorgeous flowers, and this dwarf variety provides plenty of stunning blooms while maintaining a compact size. Plant the Perfecto Mundo Epic Pink Carpet Azalea near the front of a garden bed, create a mass planting, low hedge, or cover up a foundation wall. Due to its size, this Azalea also makes an excellent container plant. This shrub is disease-resistant, semi-evergreen, and grows as a perennial in USDA growing zones 6b through 9.
Perfecto Mundo® Epic Pink Carpet™ Azalea Care
Plant this Azalea in an area that receives filtered sun all day as this plant needs full to part sun to thrive. This soil should be slightly acidic and well-draining. Azaleas like damp conditions, but standing water will damage the roots. Newly planted Azaleas need water a few times a week, while established plants need a drink once a week. Use mulch around the plant to keep the soil damp.
Azaleas like rich soil, so amend the soil with organic compost or manure when planting. Feed the plant using a balanced slow-release plant food to support new growth. Prune the Azalea after the spring-time blooms fade to promote new growth and more flowers during the late summer bloom cycle. We suggest covering the plant if grown in areas with inclement winter weather just to be safe.
Perfecto Mundo® Epic Pink Carpet™ Azalea Spacing
This dwarf shrub should grow 1 to 2 feet tall and 2 to 2.5 feet wide. Create a hedge-like look by spacing plants 2 to 2.5 feet center to center so the branches will barely touch when the plants mature. Space each Azalea up to 3 feet apart if you want to maintain space between plants or when planting near a building.
