FrostKiss™ Penny's Pink Hellebore

You’ll know spring is here when FrostKiss™ Penny's Pink Hellebore blooms. This stunner has broad petals that just barely overlap, and pronounced yellow stamens. The flowers are a deep pink and are supported by maroon stems. The foliage is dark green with hints of bronze and dark pink veining and later transitions to bright green. The flowers stand upright on tall stems and slightly nod.

FrostKiss™ Penny's Pink Hellebore has a bushy form and provides lovely color, so feature it in a visible area as part of a bed or border. This plant does very well when planted under tall shrubs, as the shrub shades the Hellebore from hot sun, and the hellebore fills in any bare soil. This plant is deer and rabbit resistant and grows as a perennial in USDA zones 4 through 9.

FrostKiss™ Penny's Pink Hellebore Care

This lovely blooming perennial needs full shade and rich, moist soil with a neutral to alkaline pH. Water when the top few inches of soil are dry. Top-dress the soil with organic compost in the spring and apply a balanced fertilizer.

Remove dead or damaged growth at any time and cut all of the growth back before flowers emerge in early winter. Divide the plant as necessary in the fall.
