Lake of Fire is a remarkable new color variation for the Rainbow Rhythm Daylily line. It features huge 7” flowers in a fiery blaze of color, including shades of orange, red, and gold. The blazing mid-summer blooms feature a ruffled, orange-red picotee edge. A line of gold outlines the flower and sets off the deeper colors within. While the floral color pattern sounds a bit complicated, the care of this beauty is not. Like other daylilies, Lake of Fire requires very little care or maintenance to stun in the garden.
Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds will seek out the bright flowers of Lake of Fire, while rabbits stay away. This is a dependable, easy-care perennial in Zones 3-9. It’s a great choice for planting in hot, dry areas of the garden en masse or as a specimen plant. They also look stunning as a border plant. If you need a dependable performer in an area that gets slim to no care throughout the season, you won’t be disappointed with the Lake of Fire Daylily.
Rainbow Rhythm® Lake of Fire Daylily Care
