The Rainbow Rhythm® Star of The North Daylily is perfect for adding a splash of color to any garden. Producing yellow petals with a deep wine-colored eye and margin, this Hemerocallis hybrid is sure to get noticed. Flowering in July, it is also a rebloomer and can grow to around 34 inches tall. This daylily is tough and easy to grow.
The Rainbow Rhythm® Star of The North Daylily is adored by hummingbirds and pollinators but is thankfully left alone by rabbits. Cold hardy, it is suited to growing in zones 3 to 9. Rainbow Rhythm® is adaptable and will tolerate almost any soil. This perennial is perfect for planting in a bed or a border or growing in a container.
Rainbow Rhythm® Star of The North Daylily Care
The Rainbow Rhythm® Star of The North Daylily can cope with partial shade, but really thrives in full sun. Amazingly tolerant, it can grow in soil of any type and pH; however, well-draining, fertile soil is optimum. Regular irrigation is recommended for the first year until it becomes established. Afterward, Rainbow Rhythm® is tolerant of dry spells. Fertilize it with an all-purpose, balanced feed in spring and fall.
Any spent, lingering blooms can be removed to encourage reblooming. In late winter, remove any old foliage and stems.
Rainbow Rhythm® Star of The North Daylily Spacing
The Rainbow Rhythm® Star of The North Daylily can reach a final size of 34 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide. Space multiple plants 18 to 24 inches apart for a mass of color come summer.
