Potluck Tutti Frutti Punch Bulb Mix layers pink, lilac, and purple blooms into one summer planting with height, scent, and texture already planned for you. This mix includes 15 liatris, 10 lilac freesias, and 3 Montreux Asiatic lilies for a 28-piece display with upright flower spikes, fragrant trumpets, and larger lily blooms. The combination gives the planting a coordinated look without making the garden feel too matched. Our landscape designer finds this mix especially useful for filling a sunny bed that needs more than one flower shape in the same color family.
The liatris adds sturdy purple wands that attract pollinators, while the freesias offer perfume and the Asiatic lilies supply the biggest flowers in the blend. Montreux lilies are early-blooming, non-fragrant Asiatic lilies that prefer full sun, well-drained soil, and proper post-bloom foliage care for strong return performance. This mix works well in cutting gardens, along sunny walkways, or in a patio planting where the freesia fragrance can be noticed. It is a spring-planted collection, with the lily and liatris returning in many climates and the freesia needing winter protection in colder zones.
Potluck Tutti Frutti Punch Bulb Mix Care
Plant Potluck Tutti Frutti Punch Bulb Mix in full sun, with at least 6 hours of direct light for the strongest stems and best flowering. Use well-drained soil with moderate fertility and a slightly acidic to neutral pH, roughly 6.0 to 7.0. If your soil packs tightly after rain, loosen the whole planting area and blend in compost rather than improving only each planting hole.
Water after planting to settle the soil, and begin a regular watering schedule when new shoots appear. Once plants are actively growing, water deeply when the top couple inches of soil dry, giving extra attention to containers and sandy beds during hot weather. Feed lightly when stems are growing with a balanced bulb or flower fertilizer, and avoid heavy nitrogen, which can make taller stems less steady.
Let lily and liatris foliage remain after flowering until it yellows, since that foliage rebuilds the bulbs and roots for the next season. Freesias are more tender, so gardeners in colder climates should lift and store them dry after foliage fades, or treat them as summer annuals. A thin mulch layer helps moderate soil moisture, but keep it pulled back slightly from lily stems.
Remove spent freesia flowers and finished lily blooms to direct energy back into the plant. Liatris can be cut for fresh or dried arrangements when the upper portion of the spike is still opening. Divide established liatris clumps every few years in spring if flowering becomes crowded, and protect stored freesia bulbs from damp winter conditions.
Potluck Tutti Frutti Punch Bulb Mix Spacing
Plant Montreux lilies 8 to 12 inches apart and 4 to 6 inches deep, liatris 12 to 18 inches apart, and freesia bulbs 3 to 4 inches apart in smaller clusters near the front. In containers, use a wide 16- to 20-inch pot for a small grouping, placing lilies toward the center or back, liatris as the vertical accent, and freesias near the rim. Containers need drainage holes and more frequent moisture checks than garden beds, especially once flower stems begin forming. You can also force some of the bulbs indoors for early blooms.
Box Contents

FAQs
1. What is the Potluck Tutti Frutti Punch Bulb Mix?
It’s a curated collection of 28 bulbs — Kobold Liatris, Lilac Freesias, and Montreux Asiatic Lilies — chosen to create a coordinated pink-and-purple summer garden with height, scent, and long-lasting flowers.
2. When and where should I plant these bulbs?
Plant them in spring after frost danger has passed. Choose well-draining soil and a spot that gets at least part sun; full sun is ideal for the best flowering.
3. How should I care for them after planting?
Water thoroughly at planting, keep soil slightly moist while they establish, feed with bulb fertilizer when shoots appear, and allow foliage to die back naturally after blooming.
4. Can I grow this mix in pots or indoors?
Yes — they’re container-friendly. Use a pot with drainage, plant bulbs close (but not touching), and place the container in a sunny location. Freesias can be forced indoors for earlier blooms if desired.
5. How many bulbs are included?
The mix contains 28 bulbs total: 15 Kobold Liatris, 10 Lilac Freesias, and 3 Montreux Asiatic Lilies — enough for a generous grouped planting or several smaller pots.
