Salmon Party Oriental Lily Bulbs offer huge fragrant flowers in peachy salmon, pink, orange, cream, and white tones. Lilium orientalis 'Salmon Party' grows 24 to 36 inches tall, with star-shaped midsummer blooms that can measure several inches across on upright stems. The coral stripe, reddish speckles, and golden center give each flower more depth than a standard pink lily. Our growers recommend it for patio beds and cutting gardens where the fragrance can be enjoyed.

This Oriental lily is compact enough for containers yet showy enough for a mixed perennial border. The flowers are highly fragrant and excellent for cutting, plus butterflies and hummingbirds may visit the open blooms. It is a perennial bulb in zones 3 to 9, returning well where soil drains properly and the stems are allowed to finish naturally after bloom. Use it near seating areas, along sunny walkways, or in a summer cutting bed where its warm coloring can stand apart from cooler pinks and whites.

Salmon Party Oriental Lily Bulbs Care

Plant Salmon Party Oriental Lily Bulbs in full sun to partial shade, with afternoon shade helpful in warmer zones. Grow them in rich, well-drained soil that stays moderately moist but never waterlogged. A slightly acidic to neutral soil pH, about 6.0 to 7.0, supports strong root growth and flowering.

Water after planting to settle soil around the bulbs, then keep the root zone evenly moist while stems are growing. Established lilies need a deep soak during dry spells, especially as buds swell and flowers open. Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in spring as shoots emerge, following the label rate. Mulch lightly to keep the root zone cool and reduce moisture swings.

Cut flowers when the first bud begins to open, leaving plenty of leaves on the plant to feed the bulb. After bloom, remove spent flowers but keep the stems standing until they yellow naturally. Oriental lily pollen can stain, so remove anthers before arranging stems indoors, and keep all true lilies away from cats.

Salmon Party Oriental Lily Bulbs Spacing

Plant Salmon Party Oriental Lily Bulbs 6 to 8 inches deep and 9 to 12 inches apart, with the pointed end facing up. For containers, use a deep pot at least 14 to 16 inches wide with drainage holes and enough soil beneath the bulbs for root development. Container lilies are best moved into the garden after the first season if you want stronger return growth.

For containers, pair Salmon Party Oriental Lily Bulbs with bacopa, fan flower, or calibrachoa to trail below the upright stems without crowding the bulbs. In garden beds, salvia and speedwell provide cooler flower contrast and enjoy similar sun and drainage. Coral bells can shade the lower soil in part-sun plantings, while coneflower continues the summer display after the lilies finish.
